About Yuan Peng

Yuan Peng is the owner and founder of Akupeng. She is a TCM acupuncturist professionally trained at one of the best schools in Denmark for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, AkupunkturAkademiet. Her passion lies in creating a haven from the stresses of the outside world, where problems can be contemplated and solved.

As a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) acupuncturist, Yuan uses multiple methods to diagnose your condition; some examples include checking the tongue, the pulse, the face, along with a comprehensive questionnaire. In tandem, Yuan’s treatment philosophy places a high value on communication with clients.

The principle behind this approach is to build a comprehensive overview that identifies imbalances in one’s body. Establishing a holistic diagnosis is key to developing a treatment strategy that addresses not just the aches and pains, but their sources. Using these techniques, she has successfully treated conditions such as chronic pain, allergies, stress, fatigue, weak immune system, headaches, insomnia, and depression.

Yuan has lived the last ten years in Aalborg, Denmark. Together with her husband, they have a little girl, Ambra. They enjoy spending their time outside exploring forests and hiking.

Our Story

Akupeng strives to provide our clients with the highest quality care in a traditional and natural way. We follow a simple principle: the pursuit of balance. Thousands of years ago, Chinese ancestors already revealed to us the secrets of health and longevity. Keeping a balance is just the key.

“In the past, people practiced the Tao, the Way of Life.

They understood the principle of balance as represented by the transformations of the energies of the universe.

They formulated exercises to promote energy flow to harmonize themselves within the universe.

They ate a balanced diet at regular times, arose and slept at regular hours, avoided over stressing their bodies and minds, and refrained from overindulgence of all kinds.

They maintained well-being of body and mind; thus, it is not surprising that they lived over one hundred years.”

– Huang Di Nei Jing

Akupeng was created by Yuan Peng as a result of her love for traditional Chinese medicine and her passion to help others find health and happiness.

Yuan traveled to Denmark for the first time in 2012 to discover one of the happiest countries on earth. She was surprised to find that many people who seemed not “happy”. They experience stress, anxiety, depression, or inexplicable pain. Their physical aches are usually alleviated by Panodil, and their emotional sorrow is often relieved by "lykkepiller". Also she suffered from depression for eight months in the first year living in Denmark.

Yuan wants to help herself and others. Through traditional Chinese medicine, she has found the answer. Her experience working in an acupuncture clinic in Aalborg exposed her to the reality of acupuncture in 2016. Over and over again, she has been astonished at acupuncture's powerful healing effects.

Physical illness can be caused by emotional stress. This is what the Chinese say: "Ten thousand diseases are born from the heart, so the heart must be treated first."
